Marmion Beach sits within the Marmion Marine Park, a snorkeling and diving playground of limestone reefs, ledges, caves, swim-throughs and crystal-clear lagoons just north of Perth. The beach is the shore entry point for the MAAC Dive and Snorkel Trail, a marked 400-metre underwater trail with 20 concrete plinths that guide snorkelers across a shallow limestone reef system ranging from 2 to 6 metres deep. The protected marine park setting means calm, clear conditions ideal for beginner and intermediate snorkelers.

Low risk: Sharp limestone reef
The limestone reef has sharp edges and crevices. Wear reef shoes or fins to protect feet and avoid cuts.
Low risk: Afternoon sea breeze chop
Strong sea breezes can develop on summer afternoons, creating choppy surface conditions and reducing visibility.
Low risk: Swell surge over reef
Swell and surge can push snorkelers onto shallow reef sections on moderate sea days.
