Marengo Beach sits on the stunning Great Ocean Road, just 2.5 km south-west of Apollo Bay, and provides direct shore access to the Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary. This 12-hectare protected sanctuary, about 150 m offshore, features the Little Henty reef system where snorkelers can explore rocky reefs, kelp forests, and clear waters teeming with marine life. The beach's sheltered position near Hayley Point often provides calm conditions ideal for guided snorkel tours and independent exploration.

Getting in
Marengo Beach is located 2.5 km south-west of Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria. Follow the Great Ocean Road through Apollo Bay and continue south-west toward Marengo; the beach is well signposted with parking available.
There is a car park adjacent to Marengo Beach with access directly onto the sand.
No fees for beach access. Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary is a protected area — no fishing or collecting allowed.
