Main Beach sits at the mouth of the Evans River, a spacious, lifeguard-patrolled stretch of sand protected from the big southeast swells. At high tide, a scenic little bay on the northern side forms a calm, shallow nook perfect for snorkelling, with rocky headlands and tidal pools to explore. The beach is backed by dunes and coastal scrub, just 100 m from the Evans Head caravan park and town centre, making it a convenient and family-friendly spot for a dip and a snorkel.
