MacMasters Beach is a scenic patrolled beach on the Bouddi Peninsula on the Central Coast of NSW, offering a protected rockpool at its southern end that is ideal for beginner snorkelers and families. The broader beach sits within a picturesque crescent shaped by bush-clad headlands, with clear waters over sandy seabed and rocky ledges where fish congregate. While known primarily as a surfing beach, the sheltered rockpool and calm southern corner provide excellent conditions for snorkeling, especially during low swell. The beach is backed by a grassy foreshore reserve with a cafe, picnic tables, and toilet facilities, making it a convenient and safe spot for a day out.

Moderate risk: Rip Currents
Like many open ocean beaches, rips can form along the beach. Always swim between the flags where lifeguards are on duty.
Low risk: Surf Break Waves
MacMasters Beach is a renowned surf break. When swell is up, waves can be significant and create strong shore dump and rip currents outside the patrolled area and rockpool.
Low risk: Bluebottle Stings
Bluebottle jellyfish (Physalia physalis) can be carried onto the beach by onshore winds and northeasterly swells, particularly in summer.
