The MAAC (Marmion Angling and Aquatic Club) Dive and Snorkel Trail is a 400-metre marked underwater trail in Marmion Marine Park, just off Marmion Beach. Featuring 20 submerged interpretive plinths with fun facts and directional arrows, the trail guides snorkellers through a shallow limestone reef habitat (2–6 m depth) teeming with colourful reef fish, octopus, and stingrays. Inside the reef break, it's calm and beginner-friendly; outside, it drops to deeper water where larger creatures like wobbegong and Port Jackson sharks may be spotted. A surface float marks the start directly opposite the MAAC clubhouse.

Moderate risk: Swell and surge on reef
On windy days with swell, the shallow reef can cause injury if snorkellers are caught in surge. Best on calm days with low swell.
Low risk: Low-tide reef exposure
At low tide the shallow limestone reef inside the break can be exposed, making entry difficult and presenting a risk of cuts from sharp rock.
Low risk: Bronze whaler sharks
Bronze whaler sharks are known to be sighted in deeper water outside the reef. Be shark aware when venturing beyond the reef break.
Low risk: Outgoing tide current
Currents can pick up around the reef edge on an outgoing tide, especially near the deeper drop-off outside the reef.
