Nestled near the entrance of Innes National Park on the southern tip of Yorke Peninsula, Little Emu Beach is a spacious, uncrowded beauty with crystal-clear turquoise waters. Snorkel the shallows along the base of the limestone cliffs or head out to the reef that runs the length of the beach — a protected haven perfect for spotting leafy sea dragons, eagle rays, and colourful reef fish gliding through seagrass meadows and rocky crevices.

Low risk: Swell and surge
The reef can experience significant surge when swells pick up, especially from the south. Best snorkeled on calm days.
Low risk: Rocky reef edges
Sharp limestone reef edges near the cliff base can cause cuts and scrapes. Wear reef shoes.
