Little Bondi Beach (Bariŋura) is a 200-metre stretch of blinding white sand framed by 10–20-metre-high red laterite cliffs and rolling sand dunes, about 41 km south-east of Nhulunbuy in East Arnhem Land. Its turquoise waters are protected by an offshore reef bar that keeps waves under 1 m, making it a popular surf and snorkel spot. The beach sits within the Dhimurru Indigenous Protected Area, accessed via a soft-sand track through eucalypt woodland and monsoon vine forest. Untamed and remote, this is a place where the ocean meets ancient landscapes — and crocodiles and stingers remind visitors they are on Country.
