Little Beach is a secluded cove tucked into Bouddi National Park on the NSW Central Coast, accessible via a scenic 750-metre bush track from Grahame Drive. This pristine pocket of sand is hemmed by littoral rainforest and rocky headlands, with a small creek trickling across the beach before meeting the Tasman Sea. Sheltered and uncrowded, the beach offers clear inshore waters, rock pools to explore along the headland, and gentle surf off the point. It's a favourite for campers who want remote beachfront access without sacrificing amenities, and the surrounding Bouddi Coastal Walk passes right through the cove, connecting to other park highlights.

Know before you go

Logged by the community, confirmed by mods

  • Moderate risk: No lifeguard patrol

Little Beach is unpatrolled with no lifeguards on duty. Swimmers and snorkellers must exercise personal responsibility and caution at all times.

  • Moderate risk: Rip currents and ocean swell

The beach is open to ocean swell and can develop rip currents, particularly around the rocky point. The safest snorkelling conditions are on calm, low-swell days.

  • Moderate risk: No Lifeguards

Little Beach is not patrolled by lifeguards; swimmers are entirely responsible for their own safety.

  • Moderate risk: No lifeguards on duty

Little Beach is unpatrolled — no lifeguards or flags. Swimmers and snorkelers assess conditions at their own risk.

  • Moderate risk: Rip currents

Like many exposed beaches on the Central Coast, rips can form, especially around the rocky headlands at the southern end.

  • Low risk: Rocky shoreline and submerged rocks

The beach has a rocky seabed and rocky headlands with submerged rocks near the shore, posing a risk of cuts and stubbed toes. Care is needed when entering and exiting the water.

  • Low risk: Limited emergency access

The beach is accessible only by a 750-metre walking track from Grahame Drive, making emergency vehicle access difficult. Snorkellers should be self-sufficient and carry a means of communication.

  • Low risk: Rocky Shore Entry

The beach has a rocky shoreline with uneven surfaces, requiring care when entering and exiting the water.

  • Low risk: Isolated Location

The beach is a 750-metre walk from the carpark with limited mobile reception, making self-rescue and communication difficult in an emergency.

  • Low risk: Ocean Swell & Surf

Small to moderate surf can break off the point, creating unexpected currents and wave conditions for swimmers.

  • Low risk: Rocky shoreline and submerged reef

The beach has rocky headlands and submerged reef structures near shore. Snorkelers should take care entering and exiting to avoid cuts or slips.

  • Low risk: Swell and surf conditions

Exposed to ocean swells, especially from the south-east. Small waves off the point can develop, creating surf conditions that may affect visibility and safety for snorkelers.

  • Low risk: Rocky headlands and platforms

The southern edge of the beach features rocky platforms that can be sharp and slippery, particularly when wet.

  • Low risk: Limited access - bushwalk entry

Getting to the beach requires a 750m bushwalk. The return walk involves uphill sections, and carrying snorkel gear adds difficulty.

  • Low risk: Rocky shoreline and rock pools

The beach has rocky sections and rock pools that can be slippery underfoot, especially at the edges near the headland.

  • Low risk: Limited beach access via trail

The 750-metre bush track can be muddy after rain, and the beach has no direct vehicle access for emergencies.
