Little Bay Beach is a small, sheltered cove tucked at the southern end of Toowoon Bay on the Central Coast of NSW. A continuous offshore reef breaks incoming swells, creating reliably calm, crystal-clear water that's perfect for snorkelling. The beach connects to neighbouring Toowoon Bay via a sandy tombolo, and the rocky reef on the south side — known locally as Little Bay — hosts some of the best sea life along the coast. Its lack of rips and gentle conditions make it a favourite for families and beginners wanting a peaceful, crowd-free alternative to busier Central Coast beaches.

Low risk: Offshore reef rocks at low tide
The continuous offshore reef that shelters the bay can be exposed or very shallow at low tide, with sharp rocks posing a scraping hazard.
Low risk: Patrolled hours only
The beach is only patrolled during peak season and on weekends; outside those times no lifeguards are on duty.
Low risk: Rip currents near rocky reef
Patrolled, but rips can develop near the rocky reef heads at either end of the beach.
Low risk: Slippery rock platforms
Rocky platforms at the northern and southern ends can be slippery and hazardous when wet.
Low risk: Southerly swell sweep
Surf conditions can increase during southerly swells, creating stronger shore dump and sweep.
