Little Bay is the sheltered southern pocket of Toowoon Bay on the Central Coast, a calm and clear snorkelling haven protected from the open ocean by a rocky headland. The southside waters are reliably flat and translucent, offering excellent visibility over sandy flats and rocky reef habitat. It's a beloved local secret for spotting colourful fish and marine life without venturing far from shore — ideal for families and beginners wanting a safe, easy snorkel in a picturesque bay setting.

Low risk: Shark encounters
Rare but reported; the area is known to have occasional shark sightings, particularly bull sharks and wobbegongs. Snorkellers should remain vigilant.
Low risk: Rocky reef edges
Sharp rocks and barnacle-encrusted reef on the southern side can cause cuts and scrapes if swimmers venture too close or try to stand on submerged reef.
