Low risk: Marine weather changes
Southerly and westerly winds can pick up quickly, creating choppy surface conditions and reducing visibility in the lagoon.
Low risk: Boat traffic
The area is accessed via the Lancelin boat ramp and recreational vessels operate nearby; snorkelers should maintain situational awareness.
Low risk: Sharp reef edges
Limestone and coral reef formations have sharp edges; reef shoes are recommended to avoid cuts when entering or exiting the water.
Low risk: Australian sea lions
Australian sea lions are wild marine mammals; while generally curious, they should not be approached or harassed. Maintain a respectful distance.
