Kiama Point is a unique shore-entry dive and snorkel spot situated right next to Kiama Harbour and the famous Blowhole Point. The site begins in a sheltered pebble-bottomed gutter beside the ocean pool, drops over a rocky wall to 11 metres, and continues across distinctive pink-hued rock formations to a sand edge at 16.5 metres. Snorkellers can explore the shallow gutters and harbour entrance where bullrays, moray eels, Port Jackson sharks, horned sharks, and large schools of mado are regularly seen. The sheltered harbour exit makes for a convenient one-way swim with cold showers available back at the toilet block.

Moderate risk: Ocean swell exposure
Conditions can be affected by ocean swell around the point, reducing visibility and creating surge in shallower areas.
Low risk: Boat traffic in harbour
The exit is inside Kiama Harbour where boats operate. Stay close to the retaining wall to minimise risk.
Low risk: Rocky entry and exit
Entry from a ledge near the ocean pool and exit over large pebbles/sloped bottom requires careful footing, especially with fins.
Low risk: Cold water temperatures
South Coast NSW waters are cold year-round; a wetsuit (5mm+ for diving) is essential for comfort and safety.
