Kiama Point's Blowhole Reef offers a superb shore-entry snorkel and dive site right beside the world-famous Kiama Blowhole. Starting from a deep gutter beside the ocean pool, you follow a pebbly channel that drops over a wall to 11m, then traverse a landscape of pale pink volcanic rock with scattered sand patches. The terrain opens into valleys and ridges leading to a kelp-fringed sand edge at 16m, while the return leg sweeps back inside the sheltered Kiama Harbour. With abundant marine life among the pink rocks, this spot combines easy access with surprising underwater topography.

Moderate risk: Boat traffic in harbour
The exit inside Kiama Harbour requires staying close to the retaining wall to avoid vessels using the boat ramp and marina.
Low risk: Swell surge at entry ledge
The entry point from the pool-side ledge can be affected by swell surge, making finning up tricky in rougher conditions.
Low risk: Rough exposed exit track
The exit bay has a large pebble bottom and a rough track back up to the car park, requiring care when climbing out.
