Kangaroo Bluff, located on Bellerive's foreshore on Hobart's eastern shore, is a historic 19th-century battery site that doubles as an excellent shore-entry snorkelling spot on the Derwent River. The bluff's rocky shoreline drops into calm, sheltered waters with clear visibility, offering a unique temperate snorkelling experience with views across to Mount Wellington. The grassy picnic grounds above make it an ideal family-friendly destination where you can easily alternate between exploring underwater and relaxing on land.
