Iluka Bluff, within Bundjalung National Park on the NSW North Coast, is a headland overlooking a pristine white-sand beach sheltered by offshore reefs. This important Yaegl Aboriginal site offers excellent snorkeling around Frazers Reef, where the rocky underwater terrain teems with subtropical marine life in relatively calm, protected waters. The beach is patrolled during summer peak season and the adjacent picnic area with rainforest backdrop makes it a beloved family-friendly spot for swimming, snorkeling, and whale-watching from the lookout.

Moderate risk: Rock fishing hazards
Slippery rocks on the bluff are dangerous for rock fishing, especially when wet from waves or spray.
Low risk: Rocky reef edges
Sharp volcanic rock formations around Frazers Reef and the bluff can cause cuts if not careful when entering or exiting the water.
Low risk: Marine stingers
Bluebottles and occasional jellyfish can be present, particularly in warmer summer months.
Low risk: Swell surges
Although reefs reduce wave energy, larger southerly swells can create surge conditions close to the reef.
