The ex-HMAS Tobruk, a 127-metre Landing Ship Heavy scuttled in June 2018, rests on its starboard side in 12–14 m of water off the Fraser Coast. One of the world's newest purpose-sunk wreck dives, it lies 25 nautical miles east of Hervey Bay, sheltered by World Heritage-listed Fraser Island. Divers can explore cavernous bow doors, vehicle decks, passageways, and the bridge — all already teeming with marine life. Visibility averages 15–25 m, making this a spectacular artificial reef dive suitable for all experience levels.
