Tucked into the calm waters of the Port Hacking River in Cronulla, Gunnamatta Bay Baths is a netted tidal swimming enclosure with a sandy beach and an elevated wooden boardwalk. The netted wall keeps out larger marine life while letting gentle tidal water through, creating a safe, wave-free basin perfect for swimming laps or relaxed snorkeling. Surrounded by the grassy lawns of Gunnamatta Park with shady picnic spots, it's an easily accessible urban escape at Sydney's southern edge.
