Great Glennie Island is the largest of the Glennie group, a rugged granite island off the wild west coast of Wilsons Promontory in Victoria's Gippsland region. Shearwaters and penguins nest on its slopes, while the surrounding waters — protected within the Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park — are renowned for spectacular underwater scenery. Snorkelers who make the boat trip are rewarded with pristine granite reefs, kelp forests, and gin-clear water in a sheltered cove with a small beach landing.
