Tucked away in Flinders Bay at Augusta, Granny's Pool is a natural rock-ringed enclosure that breaks the powerful Southern Ocean swells, creating a swathe of calm, shallow blue water perfect for beginner snorkelers and families. This protected pocket lies at the furthest point of land on Western Australia's southwest coast, offering gentle shallows where you can hunt for crabs and take breaks beneath nearby shade trees. The surrounding coastline is wild and windswept, but Granny's Pool itself remains a still, serene sanctuary — a safe harbour for the intrepid and a wonderful launch pad for young explorers discovering the underwater world.

Low risk: Slippery rocks
The rocky outcrop ringing the pool can be slippery, especially when wet. Take care when entering and exiting.
