Glennies, also known as Glenfield Beach, is a pristine swimming and snorkeling beach located just north of Geraldton on Western Australia's Coral Coast. Protected from northerly winds, the beach offers calm, clear waters perfect for exploring the sandy bottom and rocky reef edges. The long stretch of uncrowded white sand backed by low dunes creates a tranquil setting. A local favourite for snorkelling, surfing, fishing, windsurfing and kite boarding, Glennies combines easy beach access with reliably good conditions for a relaxed day in the water.

Know before you go

Logged by the community, confirmed by mods

  • Low risk: Northerly wind exposure

While protected from northerly winds, conditions can change quickly if the wind shifts onshore, creating choppy surf.

  • Low risk: Surf break

Can experience surf breaks that may be challenging for weak swimmers; always check conditions before entering.
