Set along Geraldton's revitalised foreshore, the Town Beach swimming pontoons are two floating platforms anchored roughly 50 metres offshore, offering a safe and fun snorkel-and-swim destination right in the heart of town. The protected sandy bay is ideal for beginners, with calm, shallow waters close to the shore and excellent visibility. Snorkellers can explore the sandy seabed around the pontoons, where small fish congregate beneath the platforms. The grassy foreshore park, shaded picnic areas, and nearby cafes make it a perfect family-friendly spot for a full day out on Western Australia's Coral Coast.

Low risk: Marine stingers (box jellyfish)
Box jellyfish and other stingers may be present in warmer months, particularly November through April.
Low risk: Boat traffic
The pontoons are close to shore but boats and jet skis operate in the area, especially on weekends. Swim within marked zones.
Low risk: Strong sea breeze chop
Afternoon south-westerly sea breezes can create choppy surface conditions, reducing visibility and making swimming more tiring.
