Gadalathami (Town Beach) is Nhulunbuy's closest and most accessible beach, stretching three kilometres of white sand along the eastern shore of the Gove Peninsula into the Gulf of Carpentaria. Backed by grassy bluffs and the Gove Peninsula Surf Lifesaving Club, this peaceful beach offers spectacular sunrise and sunset views. Patrolled by lifeguards on weekends from May to October, it serves as the community's favourite swimming and walking spot. The beach sits on Yolngu Indigenous land, adding deep cultural significance to its natural beauty.
