Four Mile Creek is a low-energy, high-tide beach near Redbank in the Port Hedland area of Western Australia's Pilbara region. The inner shoreline features broad sand flats dotted with mangroves, terminating at a low calcarenite rocky point. Snorkelling here is best at high tide when water covers the expansive flats, offering a unique mangrove-fringed coastal experience. The area sits within the tidal-rich Pilbara coastline, where the red earth meets the Indian Ocean, and the nearby shipping channels harbour reef ecosystems.

Moderate risk: Tidal flats exposure
Broad sand flats are exposed at low tide, making snorkelling impossible. Incoming tide can return quickly across the flats.
Moderate risk: Shipping channel proximity
The nearby Port Hedland shipping channels may have vessel traffic. Stay well clear of marked shipping lanes.
Low risk: Mangrove snags
Mangrove roots and debris scattered across the inner flats can cause cuts or entanglement.
