Flinders Beach, on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, is a moody and dramatic coastal stretch where golden sands meet rocky reefs. The pier area is Victoria's premier snorkel and dive site, famed for spotting leafy and weedy sea dragons drifting through seagrass beds. Just offshore, Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary protects a vibrant subtidal reef ecosystem teeming with fish, octopus, and colourful sponges. At low tide the reef platform is exposed, revealing rock pools and a fascinating intertidal world. The beach sits under low cliffs and offers both calm sheltered swimming near the pier and more exposed surf conditions toward the ocean side.
