Fisherman Cove is a sheltered coastal nook within the Western District of Victoria, offering calm inshore waters suitable for snorkeling along the wild southwest coast. Situated between rocky headlands, the cove provides a natural break from the Southern Ocean's swells, creating a relatively protected environment for exploring kelp beds, rocky reef ledges, and sandy gutters. The site is valued by local divers and snorkelers for its accessible shore entry and the diversity of temperate marine life that gathers among the boulders and seagrass patches close to shore.

Sea temperatures in this region range from 12–18°C, requiring a thick wetsuit even in summer months.
