Falcon Bay is a curving 500-metre beach tucked between two sand-capped intertidal calcarenite points on Mandurah's southern coast. Gentle waves typical of the protected estuarine shoreline make it ideal for casual snorkeling, swimming, and paddleboarding. The shallow nearshore waters have scattered reef patches off the points where small fish shelter, while the grassy foreshore parks provide excellent family-friendly facilities including free barbecues and picnic areas.

Low risk: Estuary tidal currents
Strong tidal flows can develop near the mouth of the Peel-Harvey Estuary channel; less prevalent inside the bay itself.
Low risk: Seasonal jellyfish
Stingers (box jellyfish) may be present during warmer months; stinger suits recommended November to May.
Low risk: Exposed reef rocks at low tide
Intertidal calcarenite rock reefs are exposed at low tide and can be sharp underfoot. Care is needed when entering or exiting the water near the points.
