Tucked within Noosa National Park, the Fairy Pools are a series of sheltered, crystal-clear tidal rock pools framed by rugged headlands. Also known simply as Fairyland, this serene snorkeling spot offers calm, shallow waters rich with tropical fish and live coral colonies. Accessible via a scenic coastal hike through lush national park, the pools reward visitors with excellent visibility on low swell days. The protected setting makes it a favourite for families and photographers, with the backdrop of pandanus trees and ocean vistas adding to the magic.

Moderate risk: Ocean swell surge
During moderate to large swells, waves can surge unpredictably into the pools, increasing the risk of being knocked against rocks.
Low risk: Rocky entry and exit
Slippery rocks and uneven surfaces at the pool edges require careful footing, especially when entering or exiting the water.
Low risk: Low tide shallow water
At low tide the pools become very shallow, reducing swim space and increasing the risk of scraping against coral or rock.
