The historic Eucla Jetty is a submerged ruin off the remote Nullarbor coastline near the WA-SA border. Once a vital 19th-century shipping link for the Eucla Telegraph Station, the jetty's collapsed timber and iron piles now create an artificial reef just offshore. Snorkelers explore ghostly remnants surrounded by clear Southern Ocean waters, often sharing the site with seals, schools of fish, and the occasional Southern Right Whale passing through the adjacent Great Australian Bight Marine Park. The striking contrast of turquoise water against stark white dunes and the old telegraph station ruins makes this a uniquely atmospheric spot for adventurous snorkelers.

Getting in
From Eucla on the Eyre Highway, take the unsealed track past the Old Telegraph Station carpark (about 5 km south). The first track off will damage 2WD vehicles — use the second, more established track or park at the telegraph station and walk the 1.1 km sandy track to the beach. A 4WD is strongly recommended for vehicle access.
Free parking at the Old Telegraph Station carpark. From there, a 1.1 km walk to the beach and jetty ruins.
