Emu Point is a family-friendly snorkeling spot perched on a promontory where Oyster Harbour meets King George Sound near Albany, WA. The Oyster Harbour side offers crystal-clear, shallow, and calm waters that warm up several degrees above the ocean side in summer — perfect for beginner snorkelers. A distinctive U-shaped jetty and nearby pontoon create a sheltered haven where schools of fish gather, making for easy and rewarding viewing. Soft white sand, a three-tiered grassy terrace, and abundant shade complete the setting for a relaxed day on the water. Snorkelers should stay on the harbour side and avoid the active commercial channel.
