Eagle Bay Beach is a stunning north-facing sweep of powdery white sand and impossibly blue, sheltered waters at the tip of Cape Naturaliste in Western Australia's Southwest Capes region. Its northerly aspect keeps the bay calm and crystal-clear even when southerly winds lash nearby beaches, making it one of the best swimming and family snorkelling beaches along Geographe Bay. Small rocky outcrops along the shoreline create mini marine habitats worth exploring, with excellent visibility that lets you spot fish before you dip below the surface. The beach also serves as the launch point for world-class diving at the HMAS Swan wreck, just offshore. Surrounded by coastal forests and walking trails, Eagle Bay offers an intimate, uncrowded escape that feels worlds away from busier tourist hubs.

Low risk: Southerly swell wrap
While generally sheltered, occasional southerly storm swells can wrap around Cape Naturaliste, producing unexpected chop and shorebreak.
