Dolphin Point crowns the northern tip of Hayman Island, a private resort island in the heart of the Whitsundays. Named for the bottlenose dolphins frequently seen playing offshore, this rocky headland drops into fringing coral reefs teeming with marine life. The shoreline here offers excellent shore-based snorkelling over healthy coral gardens where you can drift among colourful reef fish, green sea turtles, and the occasional ray. The point also serves as a spectacular lookout over the turquoise Coral Sea and surrounding Whitsunday Islands, making it one of the region's most scenic spots to combine a walk with a snorkel.
