Dolly Beach is a secluded white-sand nook on Christmas Island's rugged coastline, fringed by coconut palms and accessible only via a 1 km forest boardwalk through lush jungle. The fringing coral reef lies just offshore, offering excellent snorkelling in clear, calm water. Shallow rock pools and a freshwater stream add to the charm, while marine turtles nest on the beach and giant robber crabs roam the surrounding forest. The peaceful, remote atmosphere makes it a perfect escape for nature lovers.

Moderate risk: Turtle nesting disturbance
Marine turtles nest on the beach from October to April; stepping on nests or disturbing hatchlings is a serious ecological concern.
Low risk: Sharp coral reef
The reef has shallow sections and sharp coral — swimmers must be cautious of cuts and scrapes, especially at low tide.
Low risk: Reef currents
Strong currents can occasionally develop around the reef edge, particularly during tidal changes.
Low risk: Uneven boardwalk trail
The 1 km boardwalk trail is uneven in sections and can be slippery after rain; closed-in shoes are essential.
