Sheltered by Murramarang National Park's spotted gum forests, Depot Beach is a golden-sand crescent on the NSW South Coast that offers calm, clear waters ideal for snorkelling right off the shore. The beach sits within a protected cove, with rocky headlands at either end that create shallow reef habitats teeming with fish. Just steps from the campground and picnic area, you can swim out over sandy patches to explore seagrass beds and rocky gutters. On calm days, the water visibility is excellent for spotting local dolphins that frequent the bay. The backdrop of towering spotted gums, resident eastern grey kangaroos, and a short rainforest walk make this a complete nature-escape snorkel destination.
