Decres Bay is a sheltered natural harbour on South Australia's Far West Coast, about 10 km south of Ceduna within Wittlebee Conservation Park. Its protected waters, long sandy swimming beach, and rocky reef edges offer calm, clear conditions ideal for snorkeling. The bay sits against dramatic limestone cliffs overlooking the Great Australian Bight, with Australian sea lions often seen basking on nearby rocks or cruising through the shallows. Historically a wheat-export port, the bay is now a peaceful camping and swimming spot with direct shore access and excellent birdwatching opportunities along the coastal scrub.

Low risk: Rocky reef edges
Submerged rocks and limestone reef platforms border the sandy beach, particularly at the bay's northern and southern ends.
Low risk: Ocean swell surge
The Great Australian Bight can produce powerful ocean swells that surge into the bay, especially during southerly winds.
Low risk: Fishing activity
Rock fishing from the headlands occurs here, creating potential hazards from fishing lines and hooks in swimming areas.
