Dampier Foreshore, nestled along the palm-fringed Esplanade in the heart of the Pilbara, offers a gateway to the extraordinary marine environment of the Dampier Archipelago. Fringed by red rocky hills and turquoise waters, this sheltered foreshore provides easy shore-entry snorkeling over sandy seabeds scattered with patch coral gardens. The nearby Burrup Peninsula and Murujuga National Park — home to ancient petroglyphs — frame a coastline where hard and soft corals host a kaleidoscope of tropical fish, rays, nudibranchs, and the occasional turtle. With summer water temps reaching 30°C and visibility best in the cooler months, Dampier Foreshore is an accessible Pilbara snorkeling gem for families and adventurers alike.
