Currumbin Creek (mouth/estuary), locally known as "Currumbin Alley," is a sheltered, calm-water snorkeling playground where the creek meets the ocean at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast. The estuary creates a natural, protected pool — perfect for beginners. Rocky reef structures at the mouth attract subtropical fish, and the gently flowing waters make this one of the easiest and safest entry points for snorkeling on the southern Gold Coast. The adjacent Wallace Nicoll Park provides easy beach access.

Low risk: Outgoing tide current
Flowing water can increase as the tide exits the creek mouth, potentially pulling snorkelers toward the open ocean.
Low risk: Boat traffic
The estuary mouth is used by small boats and paddlecraft; snorkelers should stay alert and near the edges.
