Cudgen Creek Estuary is a barrier-river estuary on the NSW North Coast, permanently open to the sea via twin training walls that create calm, clear tidal waters perfect for snorkeling. Combining fresh creek flow with clean ocean exchange, the estuary offers excellent water clarity and abundant fish life in a scenic, protected setting fringed by Cudgen Nature Reserve. Sheltered from ocean swells and ideal for all ages, it's a beloved local swimming and snorkeling hole with a picture-postcard backdrop of subtropical bushland.
