Crystal Palace is a stunning limestone reef system off the southwest tip of Rottnest Island, named for the spectacle of diver bubbles rising through honeycombed rock like shimmering crystals. The site features an intricate network of caves, swim-throughs, and crevices set in clear protected waters, with an average depth of 10–12 m and a maximum of 18 m. The reef spans a wall that drops from 5 m to 10 m, offering snorkellers and divers a maze-like underwater playground among the limestone formations.
