The southern end of Corindi Beach, fronting Arrawarra Headland, offers a protected snorkelling haven where shallow offshore reefs and rocky shore platforms create a rich underwater landscape. Sheltered from the dominant swell, the crystal-clear waters here are perfect for exploring bombies (isolated reef bommies) and gutters teeming with marine life. The headland itself frames a picturesque, uncrowded stretch of sand that transitions into rock platforms at low tide, revealing small rock pools. Known locally for its calm conditions compared to the surf breaks further north, this spot delivers a classic North Coast NSW snorkel experience — easy access, clear water, and dependable reef habitat.

Moderate risk: Sweeping currents around headland
The headland can create lateral currents that sweep swimmers southward around the point. Stay aware of your position relative to shore.
Low risk: Shallow reef and rock platforms
Exposed rocky reef platforms are very shallow at low tide and can cause cuts or falls. Swim at mid-to-high tide for safest access.
Low risk: Surf zone nearby
The adjacent Arrawarra Headland point break (a popular surf wave) can produce shifting rips and waves spilling into the snorkel zone on bigger swells.
Low risk: Incoming tide current
As the tide floods over the shallow reef systems, moderate currents can develop over the rock shelf, especially on a rising spring tide.
