Tucked away in the La Perouse area of Kamay Botany Bay National Park, Congwong Bay Beach is a sheltered sandy crescent lapped by calm, gentle waves — a favourite for snorkellers and families alike. Just 15 km from Sydney's CBD, this secluded gem sits beneath Cape Banks with sweeping views across Botany Bay to Bare Island Fort. A short 100-metre path with stairs leads down from Cann Park, rewarding visitors with clear, shallow waters rich with fish life, especially in spring and autumn. The beach's tranquil setting, native bushland backdrop, and proximity to historic Bare Island make it one of Sydney's most charming low-key snorkelling escapes.
