Collendina Beach Diving & Snorkelling Site lies near the western end of Collendina Beach in Ocean Grove, on Victoria's Barwon Coast facing Bass Strait. The main attraction is the Collendina Reefs (Breakers Reefs), located up to 400 metres offshore, featuring extensive gullies, overhangs, and sea caves teeming with marine life. This exposed south-south-east facing beach receives 1-1.5 m waves over a wide surf zone with persistent rips every 250 metres. Best attempted only on dead-calm days with zero swell and light offshore winds — when conditions align, the reef topography offers an exhilarating snorkel for experienced adventurers.

Moderate risk: Exposed Swell and Waves
The beach faces south-south-east into Bass Strait, receiving 1-1.5 m waves that break over reefs and rocks. In bigger seas, waves break on outer deeper reefs.
Moderate risk: Rocks and Reefs
Submerged and exposed rocks and reefs throughout the surf zone create hazards for swimmers and snorkelers, especially in turbulent conditions.
Moderate risk: Variable Conditions
Only safe to snorkel on very calm days with no wind and no swell. White water indicates dangerous conditions — do not enter.
