Cod Rock is a renowned offshore dive and snorkel site in the Solitary Islands Marine Park, sitting off the Mid North Coast of NSW. This submerged rocky bommie (reef pinnacle) rises from the seafloor in clear oceanic waters and is famous for its resident grey nurse sharks, giant cod, turtles, and colourful reef fish. Located on the south-east side of an island opposite the "split," the site offers moderate depths and abundant marine life. Best accessed by boat, Cod Rock is considered one of the area's classic intermediate snorkel and dive destinations, offering a true offshore reef experience in pristine subtropical waters.

Getting in
Cod Rock is located offshore in the Solitary Islands Marine Park, Mid North Coast NSW. Depart from Coffs Harbour or nearby boat ramps. It lies on the south-east side of an island opposite the 'split' — local dive charters and experienced boat operators know the exact mark. This site is not accessible from the shore.
Parking available at Coffs Harbour boat ramp and marina facilities.
Access to the Solitary Islands Marine Park may require a marine park permit. Check current NSW Marine Parks regulations. Dive charter fees apply if booking with a tour operator.
