Coconut Bay is a secluded palm-fringed beach on the southeastern shore of Dunk Island, part of the Family Islands National Park within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. This idyllic cove offers calm, sheltered waters with direct access to vibrant fringing coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. The bay's shallow, sandy entry makes it a favourite spot for guided snorkelling tours, where you can drift over colourful coral gardens just metres from the shore. Surrounded by lush rainforest and granite boulder formations, Coconut Bay delivers a classic tropical island experience — pristine white sand, turquoise water, and world-class reef snorkelling without the crowds.
