Tucked away in the lush Scenic Rim hinterland, Christmas Creek Pools is a series of pristine freshwater rock pools fringed by dense Lamington rainforest. Crystal-clear water cascades over smooth granite boulders, forming deep, inviting plunge pools perfect for cooling off. Unlike coastal snorkel spots, this secluded creek setting offers a unique freshwater snorkeling experience with dappled light filtering through the canopy — a wild, natural swimming paradise less than 90 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Low risk: Slippery Rocks
Granite boulders and creek bed rocks can be extremely slippery when wet, increasing fall risk.
Low risk: Variable Water Depth
Pool depths vary greatly; some pools are shallow while others are deep plunge holes. Always check depth before entering.
Low risk: Limited Visibility After Rain
Recent rainfall can muddy the water, reducing underwater visibility for snorkeling.
