Child Island Dive Site sits within a dramatic 30-metre-deep channel between Child and Barren Islands in the Keppel Islands group, part of the Capricorn Coast. Walls plunge into the gutter covered in vibrant gorgonians, sea whips, black corals, and soft corals. The channel acts as a natural fish highway, with pelagic species cruising through regularly. This site offers both deep wall diving (to 30 m) and shallower areas (6–9 m) around the rocky reef, making it a versatile spot for experienced snorkelers and divers seeking big marine life encounters in the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
