Child Island Dive Site is a thrilling channel dive between Child and Barren Islands in the Keppel Island group, part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. The 30-metre-deep passage features coral-encrusted walls draped in gorgonians, sea whips, black corals, and vibrant soft corals. Known for drift diving in the current-swept channel, this site offers encounters with large pelagic fish such as Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, Trevally, and Black Kingfish, with the occasional Manta Ray gliding through. The fringing reefs around the island provide spectacular colour and an endless display of tropical fish, making it a world-class spot for adventurous snorkelers and divers.
