Cheynes Beach is a protected, crescent-shaped cove within Waychinicup National Park, roughly 45 minutes east of Albany on Western Australia's rugged south coast. Its brilliant white sands meet crystal-clear aqua waters that stay remarkably calm inside the cove, making it a premier snorkeling destination in the Great Southern region. The beach stretches for kilometres, backed by granite headlands and heathland teeming with rare flora like the Albany Pitcher Plant. Winter brings Humpback and Southern Right whales passing close offshore, while the sheltered cove offers safe swimming and snorkeling year-round.
