Caves Beach on the Swansea peninsula is a stunning stretch of sand famed for its network of sea caves carved into the southern headland. At low tide, these weathered rock formations — resembling a moonscape — open up for exploration, with narrow crawl-through tunnels, dripping ceilings, and tidal pools teeming with small marine life. The beach itself offers excellent swimming (patrolled in summer) and surfing, backed by a surf life saving club, picnic area, and free parking. The caves are the main draw: a unique snorkeling and adventure playground accessible only when the tide is low and conditions calm.
