Castle Rock marks the southern tip of Whitsunday Island, where a dramatic rocky headland frames a sheltered fringing reef teeming with marine life. The site features a shallow coral garden with vibrant hard and soft corals, colourful reef fish, and the chance to encounter turtles and rays. The bay is protected from most wind directions, making it a reliable snorkelling destination in the Whitsundays. Accessible only by boat, it offers a quieter alternative to the more crowded northern sites, with clear water and excellent visibility typical of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
