Nestled within Cape Conran Coastal Park in East Gippsland, the West Cape boat ramp area provides a protected entry point to the clear, temperate waters of Bass Strait. This rocky reef and sandy-bottom snorkeling zone lies along the stunning Wilderness Coast, where granite boulders and seagrass beds create habitat for a variety of marine life. The boat ramp itself offers easy shore access, and the surrounding coastal heathland and dunes make for a beautiful setting. On calm days, visibility can be excellent, making this a peaceful spot to explore the underwater granite boulder gardens and sponge gardens just offshore.
